Superintendent Bill Hite and the city’s leading early childhood education advocates joined PSP yesterday to announce the launch of GreatPhillySchools Early Childhood, a transformational new website for the thousands of families across the city seeking quality early childhood education. You can read and see more about the website and the event, held at a high-quality child care center in West Philadelphia, here:
- Philly families get help in search for quality preschools (WHYY)
- Web tool helps find high-quality child care, preschools (Inquirer)
- NBC 10 Philadelphia
- 6ABC Action News
Like GreatPhillySchools.org, the K-12 search site we launched two years ago, this resource helps every family in Philadelphia feels empowered to find, compare and choose the best school for their child. That choice matters — we know that children who attend a high-quality Pre-K program are far more likely to graduate high school and go on to college — and we believe it just got easier for Philadelphia families.
Take a minute to check out the new site, and you’ll find more than 300 of the highest-quality options for families to explore. As always, please contact us with any questions or to support this effort.
P.S. Welcome back to school, students, parents and educators!
