No More Waiting: Watch the new ad from PSAP

Today, the Philadelphia School Advocacy Partners (PSP’s sister advocacy organization) launched a campaign to elevate the voices of thousands of families who don’t want to keep waiting for high-quality educational opportunities. Watch the first television ad at nomorewaiting.org.

Mike Wang, executive director of PSAP, said in today’s Inquirer: “There’s a clear message for anyone who is currently in office or who is seeking office: these families expect to be heard.”

Inaccurate and unproductive rhetoric about charter schools has become a distraction from what really matters to families – a quality education. In Philadelphia, charter schools are a critical part of ensuring that tens of thousands of low-income and minority families have access to high-quality schools.

Philadelphia needs more schools that provide an effective education for disadvantaged students – including charter, district and private schools. That’s why we continue to invest in high-quality schools of all types. Learn more about our investments here and please reach out to us with any questions.

PS. In case you missed last week, exciting legislation was announced that would create accountability for the state’s most struggling schools. Read about it here.
